The people of Solomon's kingdom were more important to him than riches and power. When God offered him anything he wanted, Solomon chose wisdom, that he might be a better king and ruler for his people. At Christmas we celebrate God coming to earth; a new King was born whose wisdom is infinite, and whose love for His people is greater even than Solomon's.
Solomon built the temple - Jesus is the temple.
"Dear God, help me to be wise and make good decisions."
