Bible in a Year - Day 150

Day 144 - 1 Chronicles 8, 9 & 10; John 8:37-59


Day 145 - 1 Chronicles 11, 12 & 13; John 9:1-23
The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house for three months, and the Lord blessed his household and everything he had. (1 Chronicles 13:14)
As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’
‘Neither this man nor his parents sinned,’ said Jesus, ‘but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. (John 9:1-3)
After saying this, he spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. ‘Go,’ he told him, ‘wash in the Pool of Siloam’ (this word means ‘Sent’). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. (John 9:6-7)

 

Day 146 - 1 Chronicles 14, 15 & 16; John 9:24-41
He remembers his covenant for ever,    the promise he made, for a thousand generations... (1 Chronicles 16:15)
He allowed no one to oppress them;    for their sake he rebuked kings: (1 Chronicles 16:21)
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;    his love endures for ever. (1 Chronicles 16:34)


Day 147 - 1 Chronicles 17, 18 & 19; John 10:1-21
I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name like the names of the greatest men on earth. And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them any more, as they did at the beginning and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also subdue all your enemies. (1 Chronicles 17:8-10)
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10)
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (John 10:11)
   

Day 148 - 1 Chronicles 20, 21 & 22; John 10:22-42
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:28)


Day 149 - 1 Chronicles 23, 24 & 25; John 11:1-17


Day 150 - 1 Chronicles 26 & 27; John 11:18-46
When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. ‘Where have you laid him?’ he asked.
‘Come and see, Lord,’ they replied.
Jesus wept.
Then the Jews said, ‘See how he loved him!’ (John 11:33-36)
