Bible in a Year - Day 245

Day 239 - Psalm 128, 129, 130 & 131; 1 Corinthians 7:25-40
But the Lord is righteous;    he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked. (Psalm 129:4)
But with you there is forgiveness,    so that we can, with reverence, serve you. (Psalm 130:4)
Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
    for with the Lord is unfailing love
    and with him is full redemption. 

He himself will redeem Israel    from all their sins. (Psalm 130:7-8)

Day 240 - Psalm 132, 133, 134 & 135; 1 Corinthians 8
This is my resting place for ever and ever;
    here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it. 

I will bless her with abundant provisions;
    her poor I will satisfy with food. 

I will clothe her priests with salvation,    and her faithful people shall ever sing for joy. (Psalm 132:14-16)
For the Lord will vindicate his people    and have compassion on his servants. (Psalm 135:14)

Day 241 - Psalm 136, 137 & 138; 1 Corinthians 9
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.His love endures for ever. (Psalm 136:1) him who led his people through the wilderness;His love endures for ever. (Psalm 136:16)
He remembered us in our low estate
His love endures for ever. 

And freed us from our enemies.
His love endures for ever. 

He gives food to every creature.His love endures for ever. (Psalm 136:23-25)
When I called, you answered me;    you greatly emboldened me. (Psalm 138:3)
Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
    though lofty, he sees them from afar. 

Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
    you preserve my life.
You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes;
    with your right hand you save me. (Psalm 138:6-7)

Day 242 - Psalm 139, 140 & 141; 1 Corinthians 10:1-13
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea, 

even there your hand will guide me,    your right hand will hold me fast. (Psalm 139:9-10)
For you created my inmost being;    you knit me together in my mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13)
I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor    and upholds the cause of the needy. (Psalm 140:12)
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Day 243 - Psalm 142, 143 & 144; 1 Corinthians 10:14-33
He is my loving God and my fortress,
    my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
    who subdues peoples under me. (Psalm 144:2)


Day 244 - Psalm 145, 146 & 147; 1 Corinthians 11:1-15
The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
    slow to anger and rich in love.
The Lord is good to all;
    he has compassion on all he has made. (Psalm 145:8-9)
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
    and faithful in all he does. (Psalm 145:13)
The Lord upholds all who fall
    and lifts up all who are bowed down. 
The eyes of all look to you,
    and you give them their food at the proper time. 
You open your hand
    and satisfy the desires of every living thing. (Psalm 145:14-16)
He upholds the cause of the oppressed
    and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free,   
 the Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
    the Lord loves the righteous. 
The Lord watches over the foreigner
    and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
    but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. (Psalm 146:7-9)
The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
    he gathers the exiles of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
    and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:2-3)

He covers the sky with clouds;
    he supplies the earth with rain
    and makes grass grow on the hills.
He provides food for the cattle
    and for the young ravens when they call. (Psalm 147:8-9)

Day 245 - Psalm 148, 149 & 150; 1 Corinthians 11:16-34
For the Lord takes delight in his people;    he crowns the humble with victory. (Psalm 149:4)
